GRANDMA JOHNSON'S MEATBALLS | |
1 lb. ground beef 1 lb. ground pork 2 c. bread crumbs or 2 1/2 c. saltine crackers (about 40) 2 eggs 1 c. milk or more if necessary for smooth mixture 1 lg. onion 1 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. allspice 1/2 tsp. cloves Brown in skillet of hot fat. Place in casserole or kettle. Add some water, cover and simmer about 1 hour. |
