UPSIDE DOWN ORANGE BISCUITS 
1/4 c. butter
1/2 c. orange juice
1/2 c. sugar
2 tsp. grated orange rind
2 c. flour
1/4 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
3 tsp. baking powder
4 tbsp. shortening
3/4 c. milk
1/2 tsp. cinnamon

Combine butter, orange juice, 1/2 cup sugar and orange rind. Cook 2 minutes. Pour into 9 x 13 inch cake pan. Sift flour, salt and baking powder; cut in shortening. Add milk, stir until dough follows fork around bowl. Knead 1/2 minutes; roll 1/4 inch thick. Sprinkle with 1/4 cup sugar and cinnamon. Roll as for jelly roll. Slice 1 inch thick and place cut side down over orange mixture. Bake in hot oven at 450 degrees 20 to 25 minutes. Makes 12 biscuits.
