ORANGE UPSIDE - DOWN BISCUITS 
1/3 c. butter or shortening
2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
3 tbsp. baking powder
3/4 c. milk

SYRUP:

2/3 c. orange juice
2/3 c. sugar
2 tsp. grated orange rind

FILLING:

1/2 c. sugar
3 tsp. cinnamon

Cut shortening into flour mixed with salt and baking powder. Add milk all at once, mix until dough forms a ball. Roll dough out to a 12 x 18 inch rectangle. Cover with filling evenly. Roll up dough.

Meanwhile combine syrup ingredients in a small saucepan. Bring mixture to a boil. Boil for 2 minutes. Divide syrup evenly into 12 muffin tins. Cut rolled dough into 12 pieces. Put one piece into each cup. Bake in a hot oven 400 degrees for 15 minutes.
