ONIONS AU GRATIN 
6 lg. Bermuda onions, peeled and sliced French style
1 c. milk
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. white pepper
1 tbsp. butter
1 c. grated cheddar cheese
8 slices bacon, crisp crumbled

Mix all ingredients; pour into greased casserole dish. Bake at 350 degrees 20 minutes.

Reserve 1/4 cup for topping.
