SQUASH PUFFS 
1 c. cooked, mashed squash
1 med. onion, grated
1/3 c. cornmeal
1/3 c. plain flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 egg, beaten

Combine squash and onions. Mix cornmeal, flour, baking powder, and salt. Add squash-onion mixture and egg. Drop by tablespoons in hot oil. Brown on one side and turn.
