VENISON STEW 
2 lb. venison, cut in chunks
3/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
1/2 med. onion
1 med. green pepper
3 stalks celery
1 qt. home canned tomatoes
1/2 tsp. oregano
1 can mushrooms, optional
Potatoes and carrots, optional

Brown venison on all sides. Chop peppers, onions and celery coarsely. Mix with tomatoes and seasonings in crock pot. Mushrooms, potatoes, and carrots are optional. Cook on high heat until bubbles, then turn to low heat for 8 to 10 minutes.
