PRUNE BREAD | |
1 1/2 c. sugar 1 c. oil 3 eggs 2 1/2 c. flour 1 c. buttermilk 2 tsp. baking soda 1 tsp. cinnamon 1 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. cloves 1 c. cooked prunes, cut in sm. pieces 1/2 c. walnuts, chopped (opt.) Beat first 3 ingredients together well. Add dry ingredients alternately with buttermilk. Beat well. Fold in prunes and walnuts. Grease and flour loaf pans. Makes 2 large loaves or 3 small ones. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes. |
