HASH BROWN CASSEROLE 
1 (2 lb.) bag frozen hash browns
1 (8 oz.) sour cream
1 can Campbell cheddar cheese or mushroom soup
12 oz. grated cheddar cheese
1/2 bunch chopped green onion
Salt & pepper to taste (optional)
1 c. crushed cereal (corn flakes or Total)
1 stick butter

Layer all ingredients in large casserole, saving some grated cheddar to mix with crushed cereal for topping. Butter casserole well and use the rest of stick on top of cereal and cheese topping. Bake in standard oven at 375 degrees for 50 minutes. Can be done in microwave but cheese topping is cooked only 2 minutes. Serves 8.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
