GREEK GREEN BEANS 
5 tbsp. olive oil
1 c. chopped onion
2 garlic cloves, minced
3 cans green beans
2 c. canned tomatoes
1 c. tomato sauce
1/2 tsp. salt (optional)
1 tsp. oregano
1/2 tsp. pepper
1/2 c. water (if needed)

Heat the olive oil in a heavy saucepan. Add the onion and garlic; cook until golden. Add remaining ingredients. The juices should just cover the beans in the pan. If not, add a little more water. Cover and cook over low heat 45-60 minutes. Serve beans with the pan juices. Beans are good over cooked rice.
