CRISPY OATMEAL COOKIES 
1 lb. softened butter
2 c. flour
2 c. sugar
1 beaten egg
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
5 c. good 'n' hearty quick oats

Cream butter, sugar and eggs until fluffy. Add vanilla. Add dry ingredients and mix well. Drop with teaspoon and press with fork.

Bake at 350°F for 10 to 15 minutes.
