DOWN HOME VEGETABLE STEW 
1/2 lb. chopped slab bacon
1 1/2 c. cut fresh green beans
32 oz. whole tomatoes
1 1/2 c. potatoes
1 1/2 c. corn cut from the cob
1 c. sliced okra
Season with salt & pepper to taste
1 1/2 c. water

Fry chopped bacon in a Dutch oven. After bacon is thoroughly cooked, remove from pot; add corn and okra to oil, cook on medium heat. Add tomatoes, green beans and potatoes; season; add water and return bacon to the pot if you desire. Cook for 15 minutes at medium heat; simmer at a low heat for 40 minutes.
