CHEESECAKE SQUARES 
CRUST:

1/4 c. butter
1 c. flour
1/4 c. strawberry jam
1/3 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. chopped nuts

FILLING:

8 oz. cream cheese
1 egg
2 tbsp. lemon juice
1/4 c. sugar
2 tbsp. milk
1/2 tsp. vanilla

CRUST: Cream butter, sugar, flour. Beat until it resembles cornmeal. Stir in nuts and save 1 cup for top. Press into 8-inch square pan, greased. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes. Spread jelly while warm.

FILLING: Beat cream cheese and sugar. Add egg, milk, lemon juice, and vanilla. Pour over crust and sprinkle with leftover crumbs. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Cool and cut. 9 servings.
