NUT BARS 
1 1/2 c. unbleached flour
1 1/2 c. whole wheat flour
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/4 c. honey
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. butter

Combine above ingredients until well blended. Press firmly into 15x10 jelly roll pan. Bake 10 to 12 minutes - 350 degrees.

TOPPING:

2 1/2 c. mixed nuts and seeds
1/2 c. corn syrup
1/4 c. honey
1/4 c. brown sugar
6 tbsp. butter
1 tbsp. water
6 oz. pkg. butterscotch chips

Sprinkle nuts and seeds evenly over partially baked crust. In small saucepan, combine syrup, honey, brown sugar, butter, water and chips, and bring to a boil. Boil gently two minutes, stirring constantly. Dribble evenly over crust. Bake 10 to 12 minutes, 350 degrees, until light golden brown.

At most Co-op or Health Food Stores, you can purchase a mixture of nuts and seeds, commonly called "Trail-Mix" - I always add cashews and pecans, although these mixes often contain them - but in this case a little is good, but More is Better. GO NUTS!
