BREAKFAST CASSEROLE 
4 eggs, beaten
3 c.milk
12 to 16 slices white bread
2 c. grated Cheddar cheese
2 c. diced cooked ham or sausage

1. Combine eggs and milk in bowl and mix well.

2. Butter both sides of bread slices. Dip each in egg mixture. Place one layer of bread in bottom of 9 x 13 inch baking dish.

3. Cover with 1 cup cheese, all the meat, the remaining bread and cheese.

4. Pour remaining egg mixture over cheese. Refrigerate 24 hours. Remove from refrigerator 1 hour before baking.

5. Bake in preheated 350 degree oven for 1 hour.

Options: Add diced onion, celery, green pepper or anything that strikes your fancy.

Serves 12.
