OKLAHOMA HOT COLE SLAW 
1 lg. head cabbage
1 onion
3/4 c. sugar
1/4 c. sugar
1 tbsp. celery seed
1 c. vinegar
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. vegetable oil

Grate cabbage, add onion and mix. Sprinkle cabbage with 3/4 cup sugar. Mix sugar, celery seed, vinegar and salt. Bring to boil. Add cup of vegetable oil and bring to boil again. Pour over cabbage and stir well. Grated carrot and sweet peppers may be added, if desired. Serve hot or cold.
