OKLAHOMA GOULASH | |
4 tbsp. oil 1 lg. green pepper, chopped 1 lg. onion, chopped 1 1/2 lb. ground beef 2 c. cooked macaroni 1 c. chili sauce 1 tbsp. chili powder 1 tsp. paprika 1 tsp. pepper 1 tsp. salt Heat 2 tablespoons oil in large skillet. Saute green pepper and onion, and remove to side dish. Add remaining 2 tablespoons oil to pan and saute ground beef. Then place beef, green pepper, onion, and macaroni in pan. Add chili sauce, chili powder, salt, pepper and paprika and mix thoroughly. For mild taste use 1 tablespoon chili powder; for spicy taste use 2 tablespoons. Cover and cook on low for 20 minutes. Stir occasionally. Serve hot with salad and bread. |
