2 c. sugar
2 tbsp. butter
1 c. buttermilk
1 c. chopped walnuts

Cook sugar and buttermilk without stirring until mixture forms a soft ball. Cool slightly, then add butter and nuts. Mix well and spread on buttered plate. Slice when cooled.
