LAURA'S CABBAGE SALAD | |
1 head cabbage, shredded (for color, use half green and half red cabbage) 5-8 green onions, chopped 8 tbsp. slivered almonds, toasted 8 tbsp. sesame seeds, toasted lightly 1 or 2 packs Ramen, crumbled The number of packs depends on size of cabbage and number being served. DRESSING: 4 tbsp. sugar 1 tsp. salt 1 tsp. pepper 6 tbsp. rice vinegar 1 c. salad oil Put almonds and sesame seed on baking sheet in low oven for a few minutes until crisp and lightly browned. Mix together dressing ingredients. Pour over cabbage, onions. Add Ramen, nuts, and seeds just before serving. Toss. For main luncheon dish, add cooked, chilled, diced chicken or turkey. |
