1/4 c. butter
1 egg
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
2 c. chopped apples
3/4 c. sugar
1 c. flour
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. cloves
1/2 c. chopped nuts

Melt butter; blend in sugar and egg. Add remaining ingredients; mix until well blended. Bake in greased 9-inch pie pan at 350 degrees for 40-45 minutes. Serve warm or cold with whipped or ice cream.
