GINGERED PEARS 
1 lb. 13 oz. can pear halves
1/2 c. candied ginger, slivered
1 c. heavy cream, whipped

Turn pears and syrup into a bowl and add 1/4 cup of the ginger. Cover and refrigerate overnight. Spoon pears and syrup into dessert dishes. Whip cream and spoon over pears. Sprinkle with remaining ginger. Makes 4-5 servings.
