GINGER CRACKLE COOKIES 
3/4 c. Spry or Crisco
1 egg
2 c. flour
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. cloves
1 c. sugar
1/4 c. molasses
3 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. ginger

Cream together sugar, egg, and Crisco. Add molasses, then add flour, soda, cinnamon, ginger and cloves. Chill dough for 1 hour. Roll in ball and roll in sugar. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes.
