HARD CANDY 
1 c. sugar
1/3 c. Karo (light)
1/2 c. water

Combine sugar, Karo, and 1/2 cup water in heavy saucepan. Cook over medium heat until candy thermometer reaches hard crack. Remove from heat.

1/2 tsp. oil flavoring
1/2 tsp. food color

Add flavorings and color. Stir well. Pour onto butter greased marble slab. When cool, break or cut into desired size pieces. Sprinkle with confectioners' sugar and store in airtight container.
