CABBAGE SALAD 
1 med. head white cabbage, shredded
2 bunches green onions & tops, chopped fine
1/2 c. (or more) slivered almonds, browned in butter
3 tbsp. Russian black sesame seeds
1 pkg. ramen beef flavored noodles

DRESSING:

2 tbsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. pepper
1 tsp. salt
1/2 c. oil
3 tbsp. white wine vinegar

Mix dressing ingredients together. Stir into combined cabbage and green onions. Shortly before serving add almonds and sesame seeds. Remove the foil packet from the Ramen noodle package. Sprinkle this seasoning over the cabbage and mix in.

Break the noodle into very small pieces and sprinkle on top of salad. Mix in very lightly and serve immediately. Noodles become soggy if added too soon. They should stay crisp.
