ASPARAGUS SUPREME CASSEROLE | |
1/3 c. minced onion 2 tbsp. butter 1 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. pepper 2 tbsp. flour 1 c. sour cream 2 (No. 2) asparagus 1/2 c. grated cheese Cook onions in butter until transparent. Add salt, pepper, and flour. Mix well. Blend in sour cream. Place layer of asparagus in bottom of a shallow baking dish. Cover with some of sauce. Repeat process until all ingredients are used. Cover top with cheese. Place in preheated 350 degree oven for 10 to 15 minutes or until cheese is browned. I sprinkle cheese over each layer with sauce. Serves 6 to 8. (I like and use lots more cheese than 1/2 cup.) |
