YANKEE CHEDDAR STEAK | |
1 lb. round steak 1/2 inch thick 1/4 c. flour 1 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. pepper Oil 1 med. onion, thinly sliced 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce 1 tsp. garlic salt 1 (4 oz.) pkg. shredded sharp cheddar cheese Cut steak in serving pieces, combine flour, salt and pepper. Pound into steak. Brown in oil. Place in shallow baking dish. Cover with onion slices and combined tomato sauce and garlic salt. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes. Sprinkle with cheese, return to oven, until cheese melts. 4 servings. |
