6 med. cucumbers 1 lg. onion 1 tbsp. salt 1 c. vinegar 1 2/3 c. sugar 1 tbsp. celery seed Wash and slice cucumbers and onion. Cover with water and sprinkle the salt over the top. Cover and let sit for 1 hour. Drain. Bring to boil vinegar, sugar and celery seed. Pack pickles and onion in jars or plastic containers and pour vinegar and sugar mixture over to cover. Cool and cover with lids and refrigerate. Will keep for months. |
