FLORENCE'S CHRISTMAS FRUIT BARS 
2 c. pecans
1/2 lb. butter
1/2 box light brown sugar
3 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. unsifted plain flour
1/2 lb. chopped cherries
6 slices candied pineapple

Grease and flour long baking dish, pack pecans in bottom of pan. Make batter of butter, brown sugar, eggs and vanilla. Add unsifted flour. Pour over nuts, smooth; add cherries and pineapple. Bake 1 hour at 325 degrees. Cool, cut in squares.
