BROCCOLI DIP | |
2 (8 oz.) pkg. frozen chopped broccoli 1 (8 oz.) can mushroom pieces, drained 1 c. real butter 1 large onion, chopped 2 cans cream of mushroom soup 2 rolls garlic cheese, cut into chunks 1 can water chestnuts, sliced salt and pepper to taste Cook broccoli according to directions and drain. Sauté onions in butter. Add all ingredients except mushrooms and water chestnuts. Simmer on low heat until cheese is melted. Add mushrooms and chestnuts. Serve in chafing dish with Fritos or crackers. May be turned into casserole by putting broccoli mixture into casserole dish, topping with buttered bread or cracker crumbs and baked until bubbly. |
