DELMONICO POTATOES | |
1/4 c. butter 1 c. corn flakes, slightly crushed 3 tbsp. flour 8 oz. pkg. shredded sharp cheese 1/2 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. black pepper 1 1/2 c. milk 1 lg. pkg. (1 lb.) frozen French fries Melt butter. Blend 1 tablespoon with corn flakes, set aside. Stir flour and seasonings into remaining butter and then add milk. Cook over low heat, stirring until smooth and thick. Put layer of fries in 1 1/2 quart baking dish, use half of the sauce, half cheese and repeat. Place corn flakes on top. Bake at 375 degrees for 30 minutes. |
