SOUR CREAM COOKIES | |
1/2 c. butter 1 1/2 c. brown sugar 2 eggs, beaten 2 1/2 c. flour 1/2 tsp. baking soda 1/2 tsp. baking powder 1 c. thick sour cream 1 c. nutmeats, chopped Cream butter and sugar; add eggs. Add sifted dry ingredients alternately with sour cream. Add nutmeats. Drop by spoonfuls on greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 12 to 15 minutes. Cool and frost with Brown Butter Icing. Brown 3 tablespoons butter over low flame. Blend with powdered sugar and thin with a little cream. Add 1 teaspoon vanilla. Spread on cookies; top with a walnut half. |
