MAPLE WALNUT ROLLS 
1 c. milk, scalded
2 tbsp. shortening melted in milk
1 tbsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1 yeast cake
2 1/2 c. flour

Mix all ingredients in large bowl; let rise about 1 hour or until light. Pour out on floured board. Roll out about 1/2-inch thick. Sprinkle with chopped nuts and very little syrup.

Roll up and cut off in 1-inch slices. Place in muffin tins each with a tablespoon of syrup and a few nuts. Let rise. Bake in 400 degree oven 15-20 minutes.
