CRISP APPLE TART 
2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
3 tsp. baking powder
3 tbsp. butter
1 egg
1/2 c. milk
4 lg. tart apples
1/2 c. sugar + 1 tsp. cinnamon

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Pare, core and slice apples and set aside. Combine dry ingredients (except sugar and cinnamon) and cut in butter. Stir in egg and milk to form soft dough. Roll dough to 1/2 inch thickness, circular or rectangular. Place dough on greased cookie sheet. Arrange apples on surface and sprinkle with cinnamon-sugar mix. Bake 30 minutes at 350 degrees. Serve hot with whipped cream.

Serves 6.
