CRUMB TOPPING | |
1/4 c. softened butter 1/3 c. flour 1/2 tsp. cinnamon 1/2 c. sugar Blend butter, sugar, flour and cinnamon until mixture is crumbly. You can add a single drop of vanilla for added flavor, or use vanilla sugar. (To make vanilla sugar, store a few vanilla beans in a jar of vanilla for a month or two.) Sprinkle over top of cake before placing in oven to bake. Use this for coffee cake toppings, or sprinkle inside Crescent dough before rolling up. Or sprinkle on Blueberry Buckle or Apple Crumb Pie.
