FRENCH BLUEBERRY MUFFINS 
1/3 c. shortening
1/2 c. milk
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 egg
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. cloves
1 1/2 c. flour
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1 carton blueberries
1/2 c. butter

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Grease muffin cups. Mix 1/2 cup sugar, shortening and egg. Stir in flour, baking powder, salt, cloves, alternately with milk. Stir in berries. Fill cups 3/4 full. Bake 25 minutes. Mix 1/2 cup sugar and the cinnamon. Immediately after baking, roll puffs in melted butter, then in cinnamon sugar mixture. Serve hot. Makes 20 muffins.
