"NEVER FAIL" CARAMEL ICING 
1/2 c. butter, melted
1/4 c. milk
1 c. brown sugar, firmly packed
2 1/2 c. confectioners' sugar

Put into a deep bowl, butter, brown sugar, milk and confectioners' sugar, and mix well with an electric beater, until smooth. Cover and place in refrigerator until needed. When needed, place bowl on a warm place on your stove, then stir and spread. NOTE: This will keep for weeks!

Yield: This amount will cover 2 sheet cakes, or 1 layer cake iced on all sides and between layers.
