STRAWBERRY SHORTCAKE CAKE 
1 c. miniature marshmallows
2 c. (2 - 10 oz.) pkg. sliced strawberries in syrup, completely thawed
1 (3 oz.) strawberry Jello
2 1/4 c. all purpose flour
1 1/2 c. granulated sugar
1/2 c. shortening
3 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
3 eggs

Generously grease bottom only of a 9 x 13 pan. Sprinkle marshmallows evenly on bottom. Thoroughly combine completely thawed strawberries and syrup with dry Jello. Set aside. Combine remaining ingredients. Pour evenly over marshmallows in pan. Spoon strawberries mixture over batter. Serve warm or cool with ice cream or whipping cream.
