WHITE WINE SAUCE | |
1 c. fat skimmed chicken or turkey broth, low sodium canned or homemade 3 tbsp. dry white wine 3 tbsp. instant blend flour 2/3 c. skim milk Onion powder & white pepper to taste (opt.) Pinch ground nutmeg (opt.) 1 tbsp. minced parsley Combine broth and wine in non-stick saucepan. Heat to boiling; reduce heat. Mix together flour and milk in small cup until smooth. Stir into simmering broth. Cook and stir until mixture is thick and bubbling. Sprinkle with onion powder, pepper and nutmeg, if desired. Thin with a little water, if necessary. Sprinkle with parsley. Makes about 2 cups. About 22 calories per serving. |
