1 c. soft shortening
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
2 3/4 c. flour
2 tsp. cream of tartar
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt

Mix all ingredients together. Drop by teaspoon on cookie sheet. Bake at 375 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes. Roll in sugar.
