WALNUT BUTTER CAKE 
2 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 1/2 sticks butter
1 c. powdered sugar
3 eggs, beaten
3 tbsp. milk
1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
1/2 c. finely chopped walnuts
1/2 tsp. grated nutmeg

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a deep sided 8" or 9" round cake pan. Sift the flour and baking powder together. In a large bowl, cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add the eggs gradually, beating well after each addition. Mix in half of the flour and half of the milk and combine well. Add the remaining flour and milk and the vanilla extract and mix well. Next, add nutmeg and gently stir in walnuts. Pour into cake pan and bake for 1 hour in 350 degree oven. Drizzle warm glace icing on top.

GLACE ICING:

1 1/2 c. confectioners' sugar
1 tbsp. butter
1-2 tbsp. water, boiling

Sift the confectioners' sugar into a bowl. Add the butter and 1 1/2 tablespoons of boiling water to blend to creamy consistency. If needed, add the remaining 1/2 tablespoon of boiling water. Pour at once on the cake and smooth over with a spatula. Allow to set before cutting.
