ROMAN APPLE CAKE | |
1 c. sugar 1 1/2 c. flour 1/4 tsp. baking powder 1/4 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. baking soda 1 egg 1/2 c. milk 4 apples, pared, cored, sliced 1/2 c. shortening 1 tsp. vanilla TOPPING: 2 tbsp. melted butter 1/2 c. chopped nuts 1/2 c. brown sugar 2 tbsp. flour Mix dry ingredients with egg and 1/2 cup milk. Add apples, 1/2 cup shortening and vanilla. Pour into 15x9x2 pan and sprinkle with topping over top of batter. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes. |
