SANTA CLAUS COOKIES 
1/2 c. butter & butter
1 c. white sugar
1/4 c. sour cream
1/2 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. allspice
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/4 tsp. cloves
2 1/4 c. flour
1 tbsp. vanilla
1/2 c. slivered almonds

NOTE: To make sour cream, add 1 tablespoon vinegar to milk.

Cream butter and sugar. Add sour cream and vanilla. Mix flour, soda and spices together, add to other mixture. Add almonds. Roll into small balls and press flat onto cookie sheets. Bake about 10 minutes at 350 degrees.
