GRANDMOTHER'S CHEESE CAKE | |
2 lbs. cottage cheese 1/2 c. melted butter 3 tbsp. cornstarch 3 eggs 1/2 pt. sour cream 1 c. sugar 2 tsp. vanilla Pinch salt CRUST: 3 c. flour 1 1/2 c. butter 2 eggs 3 tsp. baking powder 1 1/2 c. sugar Pinch salt Mix filling and set aside. Mix crust and spread into a LARGE oblong pan and spread up the sides. Fork the crust. Take a large can of pineapple and spread on crust. Pour filling mixture on top of pineapple and bake at 375 degrees for 50 minutes or until knife stuck in middle comes out clean. Drain pineapple. My Grandmother was from Poland and was always in the kitchen cooking. This is one of her great recipes that I don't cook very often because it has a lot of calories but very good. |
