JEANIE'S GRANDMOTHER'S PINEAPPLE
CAKE
 
2 c. flour
1 1/2 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking soda
1 No. 2 can pineapple, undrained

Mix all ingredients together. Pour into ungreased 9 x 13 inch pan. Cover with 3/4 cup brown sugar and 3/4 cup nuts. Bake at 350 degrees for about 35 minutes. Sprinkle coconut on top. Cook 5 minutes longer.

Icing:

2 sticks butter
3/4 c. sugar
1 sm can evaporated milk or 3/4 c. whole milk

Boil about 5 minutes or until syrupy and pour over cake while cake and icing are hot.
