I have not prepared the recipe yet, however, my fiance described to me the jello that his grandmother had prepared a few times years ago, and I began searching until I found one with the exact ingredients. He will be so happy to know that it will be served this Thanksgiving. The things we do for the men in our lives. I will be proud to serve this yummy sounding recipe this Thanksgiving. I will let everyone here know how it turned out and how it tasted after Thanksgiving. Happy Holidays to all. Sincerely, Rebecca from Ohio.

I make a version of this a few times during the holidays. I snack on it. It's that good. I usually use cranberry or raspberry jello, otherwise - same recipe! Quick, easy and delicious.

Sometimes I've also added a drained can of crushed pineapple.

I use the above version, but with raspberry jello and then I add apple that has been peeled and then thinly chopped and crushed pecans and celery chopped finely and then a large can of crushed pineapple with the juice, I use two packages of the 4oz jello, it is awesome and everyone wants to take home a container for later. It was a recipe from a dear friend that was raised in Kansas. She was a Missouri postmaster for years. Enjoy
