NEVER FAIL PIE CRUST 
3 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
1 generous c. shortening
1/3 c. cold water
1 slightly beaten egg
1 tbsp. vinegar or lemon juice

Mix the following with a pastry blender until it resembles coarse meal: Flour, salt, and shortening. Then mix together water, egg, and vinegar. Add to flour mixture. Mix well and roll. Yield: 2 (9 inch) pie crusts.
