ASPARAGUS CASSEROLE 
4 slices white bread, decrusted & cut in strips
1/4 lb. butter, melted
1 sm. can peas (frozen will work also)
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 can sliced water chestnuts
1/2 c. cheddar cheese
1 1/2 c. asparagus, cooked & cut

Brown bread strips in butter and set aside. Put drained asparagus in bottom of casserole. Put soup over asparagus. Add peas, chestnuts and cheese. Put strips of bread on last. Bake at 350 degrees, covered 30 minutes. Uncover last 10 minutes.
