ASPARAGUS CASSEROLE 
2 tall cans asparagus
1 can very sm. early peas
2 c. milk
4 tbsp. butter
5 oz. jar Old English cheese spread
2 tbsp. flour
Slivered almonds
10 soda crackers

CHEESE SAUCE: Melt butter, add 2 tablespoons flour and 2 cups milk. Stir until thick. Add cheese until melted.

In ungreased casserole dish, crush crackers for bottom layer, 1 can asparagus, 1/2 peas, 1/2 almonds. Pour 1/2 cheese sauce. Repeat for second layer. Top with bread crumbs. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
