CHOCOLATE POUND CAKE 
2 sticks butter
1/2 c. shortening
3 c. sugar
3 c. all-purpose flour, sifted
4 or 5 tbsp. cocoa
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking powder
5 eggs
1 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. vanilla

Cream butter, shortening and sugar until fluffy. Add eggs, 1 at a time, beating well. Add dry alternately with the buttermilk and vanilla. Bake in large tube pan, greased and floured. Bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour and 20 minutes.
