HOT CRAB DIP 
1 qt. cooked crab meat
1/2 lb. butter (2 sticks)
2 lg. onions, finely chopped
1 bunch finely chopped shallots
2 lg. finely chopped cloves of garlic
1 lg. Philadelphia cream cheese, softened to room temperature

Melt butter on a very low fire; then saute onions, shallots and garlic. When tender, add soft cream cheese, continue cooking over a low fire until cream cheese is melted. Then add crab meat, stir well and serve with chips or crackers.
