GERMAN CHRISTMAS BREAD 
1 lb. loaf frozen bread
1/2 c. chopped pecans
1/2 c. halved glace cherries
1/2 c. raisins
1 1/2 tsp. rum
1 tbsp. melted butter

Thaw bread at room temperature until pliable. Mix together pecans, cherries, raisins and rum. Roll dough on lightly floured board to 1-inch thickness. Spoon mixture on dough. Knead and fold. Roll into 1/2 inch thick oval. Lightly crease dough just off center. Fold smaller section over larger. Place on greased baking sheet.

Roll folded dough to maintain shape. Brush on melted butter. Allow to rise in warm (90 to 150 degrees) place until size is doubled. Bake 20-25 minutes at 375 degrees or until done. Cool on rack. Sprinkle with powdered sugar.
